There
never seems to be a shortage of talented Minnesotans to feature on the
pages of Minnesota Moments. In this issue, we are introducing you to two
artists who have had success capturing pieces of Minnesota in different
ways.
One is photographer Doug Ohman, who has taken thousands of photos around the state of everything from barns and cabins to courthouses and churches.
The other is Larry Schug, a poet who paints pictures with words.
One of the best things about publishing a magazine is getting to know people like Ohman and Schug and telling their stories and sharing their works with others. During the past five years of publishing, we’ve done stories on dozens of artists. Some use words, some cameras and others, paint brushes.
If you know of an artist who deserves recognition, let us know. In fact, we’re already working on the 2008 holiday issue of Minnesota Moments where, as is our custom, an artist will be featured on our cover.
Until then, enjoy this issue and the beauty of a Minnesota autumn.
