2010 March April Cover, Minnesota Moments Magazine Irish Eyes are smiling

Much to see and do this
summer, so get moving!

Welcome to the “early” summer edition of Minnesota Moments. This issue, as well as our July/August publication, pay homage to that precious time in Minnesota known as summer.

There is so much to do and so little time in which to do it. In this copy of the magazine, you will find plenty of items to occupy your time, as if you needed something more to do than go fishing, swimming, camping, attending festivals or working on the lawn and garden.

First off, if you haven’t seen the comedy team of Tina and Lena (or is it Lena and Tina?), make plans to do so. They are a stitch! So funny, we put them on the cover of the magazine!

If outdoor excitement is more to your liking, schedule a trip “up north” to visit Bemidji and Itasca State Park as well as Split Rock Lighthouse. Both are featured in this issue. Granted, they are a ways apart, but what’s a little driving during a beautiful Minnesota summer’s day or weekend or week?

In this edition we also focus on our veterans and moms and dads. We hope you enjoy these pieces and take time to salute a veteran or soldier serving this country. And, if you are lucky enough to have a living mother or father, take some time to thank them for all they have done for you. And if not, keep those deceased in your thoughts during this special time of year.

As always, there are stories about good cooking, fine books and some great essays to enjoy.

So, find a hammock or a spot on the deck and kick back with Minnesota Moments.

Until next time. Enjoy. — Mike Nistler
