Summer time and the living is easy
To help with your summer relaxation, we’re excited to bring you this latest issue of Minnesota Moments with what we hope you will fine to be all kinds of interesting stories.
There’s never a shortage of material to cover in our summer issue. Minnesotans tend to make the most out of warm weather, regardless of whether they’re inside or out, at home or on the road or on vacation.
Speaking of vacation, in our travel section we give you 50 ideas of things to do, places to see in and around the state this summer. Some of our most delightful memories of growing up have to do with summer vacations we took crammed in the back of the family car trying not to get into fights with the siblings who you were jam-packed next to like a bunch of sardines.
Just picture Mom and Dad Sardine with a vehicle full of little ones cruising down the highway looking for some summer adventure. Suddenly, one of the younger Sardines groans. “Pew, this car stinks! Can’t we pull over and stretch our legs?”
“Nonsense,” Father Sardine says. “We’re making good time, and besides, we’re making good time.”
Mother Sardine does her best by suggesting the family play a road game and before you know it, the whole gang is looking for varieties of fish that begin with the letter A and go to Z.
“There’s an Anchovy and a Bass and a Carp and a Dog Fish and an Eel and a …”
How’s that for your summer Minnesota fish story?
We hope you enjoy this issue of Minnesota Moments.
