Brrrr. Winter is here!

So is the latest issue of Minnesota Moments.

We hope what you find on the pages inside will help warm you a bit and make the cold and dark of this season a bit more bearable.

We are happy once again to bring you a review of 13 books authored by Minnesotans. Written by our most productive contributor, Audrey Kletscher Helbling, this review is sure to lead you to at least one book that you’ll want to tackle this winter as the winds blow, the drifts build and the temperatures plummet. It’s difficult to say which Audrey prefers more, reading or writing, but we at Minnesota Moments are so grateful for her talents.

And if you’re a doer, not a sitter, we offer a guide to some of the interesting and unique places to go and things to see across the state. Whether your love is skiing — downhill or cross country — fishing, snowshoeing, or snowmobiling, there’s somewhere to go as long as Mother Nature cooperates with plenty of the white stuff and temperatures cold enough to freeze even the largest lakes. And, if the natural snow is hard to come by, man-made snow can be found without too much problem.

We hope you enjoy this issue, which marks the last installment of our third year of publishing. With the next issue, we will begin our fourth year of bringing you Minnesota Moments. Thanks to all our loyal readers and advertisers for making Minnesota Moments a success!
