Season's greetings and welcome to this, our second holiday issue.
It's hard to believe that Minnesota Moments will soon be starting
its third year of publishing. In some ways Minnesota Moments is just
like a growing child. We may not have completely grasped what the
heck was
happening last year at this time, but now, we're well aware of what's going
on around us.
Last year we began a tradition by having a Minnesota artist create a cover depicting a red barn in honor of Minnesota Moments' parent company, RedBARN Publishing Co. This year, we continue that tradition thanks to Hutchinson artist Joyce Young.
We hope you like Young's creation as much as we do. If you would like to purchase a limited edition signed print of Young's work, details of how to do that are on page 27. The proceeds will go to Crow River Arts, Inc., a charitable organization of Young's choosing.
Also inside this issue of Minnesota Moments are essays written by a variety of authors. We asked them to tell us about their favorite Christmas memories. Their answers ranged from toys they received at Christmas time when they were children to special gifts that they will always remember to gathering with family and friends to celebrate the holiday season.
But that's not all there is inside. You'll read about a small group of people in Foley who have raised thousands of dollars during the past several years by conducting a cookie bake sale that has fans throughout the state.
And you'll travel to Worthington, in the southwestern corner of the state, to see one of that community's jewels, the Dayton House.
We hope you enjoy this issue of Minnesota Moments and that you and yours have a truly blessed and peaceful holiday.
